aBOUT LONGMEADOW AND MILFORD

Facts About Longmeadow

The Longmeadow Condominium Association, established in 1968, was the first condominium development in Milford and the second in Connecticut.  It was developed by Theodore Rudermann and Ross D. Sanders and was built from 1968 to 1969.     Longmeadow sits on 29 acres, with four private roads: Salem Walk, Penn Common, Jackson Drive and Greenwich Way.    Residents enjoy a large pool (including a children’s pool), a clubhouse for meetings and rentals, and a playground.   There are two designated visitor parking areas.

We are located along Merwin Avenue and border the Borough of Woodmont,  walking distance to the beach and Merwin Point and two shopping plazas.   Milford Transit bus stops are in front of Longmeadow or a block away.  Just a block away is Milford's Anderson Avenue Playground which includes tennis, pickleball and basketball courts.

Facts About Milford

The city of Milford is located in New Haven County and had a population of 50,541 residents in 2021. Milford is approximately 11 miles from Bridgeport and 10 miles from New Haven.

Milford was established in 1639 and became a city in 1959, making it the sixth oldest in Connecticut. Its motto is “The Small City with a Big Heart.”

Residents and visitors enjoy the beautiful Milford Green, which is one of the largest in Connecticut. Its 121-foot flagpole is the tallest in Connecticut.

Seventeen miles of Long Island Sound coastline join Milford Harbor, which winds its way to meet the Wepawaug River in the heart of town.
